Tokyo – November 15, 2019 – OPEN8 Inc. is pleased to announce to welcomed Mr. Yo Sasaki, former CEO of Oneteam, as SaaS Business Strategy Advisor.
After working at Recruit and other companies, Mr. Sasaki launched Oneteam Inc. in 2015, focusing on the Oneteam communication tool, and sold the business to first-listed company Link and Motivation (LMI) in 2019.
Currently, he uses his deep knowledge and experience in the SaaS business to provide management consulting services specializing in SaaS at deflag, Inc. which he founded.
With the appointment of Mr. Sasaki, OPEN8 will further strengthen its overall SaaS business strategy and promote the further development of its AI video editing cloud VIDEO BRAIN along with its management structure and improve transparency, aiming to become a content technology company that innovates lifestyles and enriches the world.
◆Comment from Mr. Sasaki
It was about a year ago that I met Mr. Takamatsu.
He immediately asked me to start up a SaaS business and I have been watching the growth of VIDEO BRAIN’s product and business. In the past few months, the organization has grown drastically, the product has been brushed up, and the growth has accelerated.
In the 5G era, video will become more and more accessible. I am convinced that video will be the driving force in the future, just as social networking sites have created a large number of communicators around the world, and I feel that VIDEO BRAIN will be at the center of this trend. I am excited about the upcoming product updates, many of which are very exciting.
As a SaaS business consultant, I’m looking forward to contributing to OPEN8’s SaaS business.
Mr. Sasaki’s profile
After working at Tokyu Agency, Recruit, and Kaizen Platform, he founded Oneteam in 2015 and sold the Oneteam workplace communication tool business to Link and Motivation in 2019. In the same year, he founded deflag Inc., a SaaS business consulting company that uses his experience to help SaaS companies grow. He is a visiting professor at the University of Information Management and Innovation (iU).
Graduated from Musashi Institute of Technology, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies.
