Tokyo – September 24, 2019 – OPEN8 announces the establishment of a new CFO (Chief Financial Officer) position and the appointment of Hirotaka Sawada.
Background of the establishment and appointment of CFO
OPEN8 provides SaaS business, media business, and marketing business based on our OPEN8 CORE TECHNOLOGY, which is our original AI technology, database, and distribution technology. Since its inception, OPEN8 has been aiming to be a technology company that brings further innovation to lifestyles, with a mission to constantly strive to create experiences that make people move and provide seamless information distribution.
We have established a new CFO position to build a foundation for our business management division and to enhance our corporate value over the medium to long term with an eye to IPO. Mr. Sawada, who has been appointed as CFO, has a high level of expertise and practical experience in M&A, fundraising, and IR at major financial institutions and business companies.
OPEN8 will further strengthen its management structure and improve transparency, aiming to become a “technology company that enriches the world by lifestyle innovations”.

Director, CFO Hirotaka Sawada
Mr. Sawada joined Daiwa Securities SMBC Co. in 2008. Since then, he has been involved in investment banking for more than 10 years, including Frontier Management Inc, Mercer Japan, and UBS Securities Co. In June 2018 he joined MedPeer Inc. and was responsible for M&A/alliances, fundraising, IR, human resources, and public relations as General Manager of Corporate Planning.
Appointed as OPEN8’s Director and CFO in September 2019.
