August 19, 2019 – Tokyo– OPEN8 is now offering a new feature that allows users to experience rich video expression independent from formats but with increased editing freedom in video editing.

VIDEO BRAIN, the AI automatic video editing cloud that allows anyone to easily edit high-quality videos in minutes without difficult technical knowledge, has been introduced to major companies such as KOSE and Shizuoka Bank since its official release in February 2019. It has been used in a wide range of situations including PR, CSR activity, brand marketing through social media, and corporate recruitment information. We have been contributing to the in-house production of corporate video editing by using technology to solve the problems of skill, cost, and time which are generally considered to be the main issues in video creation.

In response to requests from companies that have adopted the system, more flexible video expression such as freely changing the position and number of characters in a message, adding scenes with only material or text, and using multiple materials in one scene like a smartphone app e.g. we have developed a format-free video editing system.

The new features allow users to choose from 30,000 design combinations in the editing area, including a detailed selection of the message and background, as well as scene-by-scene editing for video production modifications, making it easier to customize video editing and experience richer video expression.

■Background to the launch of VIDEO BRAIN
Open8 has been developing and deploying the “LeTRONC AI”, which automatically generates “recommended” video content for the user from over 12,000 videos in its media business,”LeTRONC”, by analyzing users’ viewing and search behavior history.  Later, to contribute to the popularization of video and the expansion of the market, we announced the beta version of the AI video editing cloud “Video BRAIN”, in September 2018 and officially released it on February 20, 2019, utilizing video-related technologies such as text and image analyzation, automatic editing and distribution that we have cultivated through our own business.

Video BRAIN is a service that can create “unlimited video anytime, anywhere at ease”. This in-house AI automated video editing cloud service makes it easy for anyone to edit high-quality, narrative videos in minutes with the support of AI.
